Recently, CRC Steve Miciak of Keiser University -Tampa emceed the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce “New Teachers Breakfast” at the Tampa Yacht Club. Over 160 new Hillsborough County teachers were introduced and given free classroom supplies and words of encouragement from an audience of over 400.
Keynote speaker for this annual event was the State of Florida 2016 Teacher of the Year Mrs. Diane McKee. This was the 10th annual New Teacher Breakfast hosted by the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Miciak is the chairman of the education committee for the South Tampa Chamber and is actively involved in Hillsborough county community events. Additional attendees were Mr. Brandon Barnhill, President of KU Tampa and Mr. Randy Congdon, Director of High School Admissions at KU Tampa.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
