Tampa Surgical Technology (ST) and Radiologic Technology (RT) students demonstrated how important it is to work as a team in the operating room.  Using the Tampa’s surgical technology laboratory, the ST students accurately demonstrated how to prepare surgical equipment for three surgical cases.  The ST and RT students shared concepts of terminology, surgical asepsis, and critical communication necessary in an operating room.  Robert Young (Surgical Technology Program Director), Doug Wyse (Surgical Technology Clinical/Lab instructor)  and Corrie Boyer (Radiologic Technology Clinical Coordinator) combined efforts to bridge the gap between allied health professions and engaged students in cross-disciplinary education.
