Tampa hosted researchers from the Jaeb Center for Health Research who met with the Biotechnology and Biomedical students. Adam Glassman and Lisa Katz joined the Tampa campus to share information on careers in the medical and research fields. Mr. Glassman, who earned a Master’s degree in Florida, walked the students through the process of biomedical drug discovery as well as clinical trials process. Lisa Katz, who acquired a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, also spoke with enthusiasm to the students about her work as a protocol advisor and microbiologist for the past 25 years. The Jaeb researchers had the opportunity to meet each student and talk about their careers as future scientists.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
