The Fort Myers campus hosted Welcome Week for new and returning students.  Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it was a great way to kick off the new semester with pancakes for all those in attendance.  All the festivities were repeated again in the evening as students came to campus.  The Fort Myers Campus also hosted a Student Appreciation BBQ. Grill King Martin in Financial Aid cooked over 300 Hot Dogs for this festive celebration.  The BBQ is a great way for new students to get to know their fellow classmates and faculty.  It is also fun for the returning students to have a break from their studies.  Several community resource tables were set up during the week to provide students, faculty and staff information regarding community awareness.  Special Thanks to VIP America, Lee County Elections Office, Early Learning Coalition, Homeless Coalition of Southwest Florida, Cracker Barrel & Community Cooperative of Lee County.  Welcome Week concluded by making smoothies for students, faculty and staff.  Students really appreciated the special ways they were welcomed back to campus.
