Dr. Anthony Berrios, a former law enforcement officer who serves as the Academic Dean at the West Palm Beach campus, supported the men and women of law enforcement and public safety with staff and students. Berrios hosted The Keiser University Blue Line 5K, an event in which athletes participated in and proceeds supported the 2017 10th Annual Law Enforcement Officer Awards.

Keiser University partnered with ASIS International, Chapter 254 to support the event, which is a salute to law enforcement officers in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties.

ASIS International is the leading organization for security professionals worldwide. Founded in 1955, ASIS is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests, such as the ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits, as well as specific security topics. ASIS also advocates the role and value of the security management profession to business, the media, government entities, and the public.
