Criminal Justice students at the West Palm Beach campus who are enrolled in the Introduction to Corrections class had the opportunity to experience the reality of prison inside a state correctional facility. South Bay Correctional facility hosted the students and provided an up close and informative tour of the facility. South Bay Correctional is managed by the GEO Group is a Level 5 facility housing over 1,900 inmates with sentences ranging from a few years to life, and custody levels from close, medium, minimum, community. Students met with and talked to inmates, staff and administrators for a true learning experience.
