Keiser University Equestrian team members recently enjoyed competing as part of an Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) event.
The first challenge of the academic year was successful as group members traveled to Kimberden Farm in Ocala, Florida, to compete with regional rivals from fifteen universities. “The experience was a wonderful educational and learning opportunity for the students in which to partake. Our group observed top level collegiate riders and enjoyed the camaraderie of the collegiate equestrian experience,” said Julie Snyder, Keiser University’s Director of Equestrian Programs.
Established in 1967 by Robert Cacchione, the IHSA now encompasses 40 regions in 8 zones with over 400 member colleges in 45 states and Canada and represents 10,000 members in hunter seat equitation, Western horsemanship, and reining.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
