Lakeland held the inaugural Graduate Recognition Night for their students. Ryan Reis, Regional Director of Student Services, had the idea of enacting a new honors ceremony where the graduates would receive their regalia marking their academic achievements at Keiser’s Lakeland campus. The ceremony began with a welcome address by the Campus President, Rebecca McDonnell, followed by Academic Remarks from The Dean of Academics, Dean Merrie Beth Lake. Their honorary guest of the evening was Mr. John Hoatson, Director of Alumni Relations from The Office of the Chancellor, who distributed alumni gifts at the conclusion of the ceremony. Ryan Reis then administered the Presentation of Honors to the students while President McDonnell and Dean Lake distributed regalia accordingly.

Honorees included various scholar students including the Lakeland Campus’ Valedictorian, David St. Pierre, who graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA, Summa Cum Laude from the Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security program.

These students, along with their classmates, will walk in the Commencement Ceremony on May 18th at The Lakeland Center.
