Instructor Katie Joseph’s Medical Assisting students took time to go beyond themselves and support a great cause.  “Our Mother’s Home” is a non-profit organization with the vision of ending the repetitive cycle of foster care and generational poverty that afflicts teen mothers and their children.  In order to spread awareness and generate funds, “Our Mother’s Home” holds an annual Chair-A-Tea event where decorated chairs from a variety of sources are auctioned away in a silent auction.  Campus President Nancy Tedros’ passion for and connection to this particular cause led to a couple of Keiser’s local academic programs taking action by decorating a chair.  Pictured is the beautiful, uniquely decorated wheelchair created by the Medical Assisting students to be auctioned off for the cause.
