The Introduction to Occupational Therapy Assisting class are currently studying different learning styles, specifically in these pictures, the Kinesthetic Learning Style (working with your hands), by having students come up with different games/activities for children so they can practice/learn things such as sensory integration (different sized circles, colored balls/board with velcro), sequence of order (getting ready for the day) and familiarity of colors without realizing it.
What outsiders would have seen was the creation of therapeutic games and activities to relate the terms and objectives in class with a hands on approach. Each game objective is to increase the overall health and wellness of a Pt based on creativity and above else, validity of the activity to be used as therapy!
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
