Keiser University Awarded Accreditation of its Business Administration Programs

Ft. Lauderdale, FL—Jan. 29, 2015—The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) www.acbsp.org Associate Degree and Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Boards of Commissioners have awarded Keiser University-Ft. Lauderdale Campus and its extended off-campus learning sites in Florida, www.keiseruniversity.edu/graduateschool/mba.php, initial accreditation of its business programs.

Established in 1988, ACBSP is the only organization offering specialized business accreditation for all degree levels, from associate to baccalaureate to doctoral degree programs. ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the Associate of Arts in Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, and Master of Business Administration degree programs offered at Keiser University meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP.

Based on the criteria of the National Malcolm Baldridge Quality Award, ACBSP accreditation evaluates aspects of the institutional leadership, strategic planning processes, relationships with the community, quality of academic programs, faculty credentials and services, and educational support to determine whether or not the institution offers a rigorous educational experience and demonstrates continuous quality improvement.

Keiser University has shown their commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process,” said ACBSP Chief Accreditation Officer Dr. Steve Parscale, who will present the Certificate of Initial Accreditation at ACBSP Conference 2015 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, June 14. “This accreditation is evidence that Keiser University is committed to providing the highest quality business education for their students.”

“Keiser University’s history reflects our continued progress towards fulfilling the dreams of the co-founders to grow and expand opportunities for our students.  Having attained this accreditation milestone for the University provides one more seal of approval for the degrees we offer,” said Sara Malmstrom, PhD, Dean of the Graduate School.  “The commitment and dedication demonstrated by faculty and staff to earn ACBSP accreditation is a reflection of the Keiser tradition of placing students first.”
