On a recent Sunday Ft. Lauderdale Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society members, along with their family and friends, spent the day at the Museum of Science and Discovery in downtown Fort Lauderdale as a way for members to connect with each other off campus. Phi Theta Kappa prides itself of the following 4 pillars: Scholarship, Service, Social and Leadership. Currently the museum has a special exhibit called “BRAIN: The World Inside Your Head”. At this exhibit we explored the revitalizing nature of sleep and learned about the latest brain imaging technologies. This exhibition will be on display until May 3, 2015. In addition, students and their guests participated in flight simulations and learned about animals and ecology. For many it was their first time to the museum and a great time was had by all.
