Keiser University students recently enjoyed the opportunity to gain insights from leaders in sports management, marketing, health, and competitive and collegiate athletics as they enjoyed a Women in Sports Panel. Led by Dr. Lorenda Beuker, Director of Keiser University’s Master of Science in Sport Management and Operations (MSSMO) program, the event was designed to foster connections, insights, inspiration, and leadership in the field.

Moderated by Sophia Nduwayo, a second-year MSSMO scholar, the panel represented a variety of fields including collegiate sports, hockey, golf, polo, fitness, and performance, and included:

  • Dr. Lorenda Beuker – Keiser University Master of Science in Sport Management and Operations (MSSMO) Program Director and Mindset Performance Coach
  • Jamene Caldwell – Keiser University Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance and Senior Women’s Leader
  • Quinn Connor – Florida Panthers Account Executive, Group Sales
  • Adrienne Maclean – USGA Senior Women’s Golf Champion and Tequesta Golf Club Greens Chair
  • Shannon Stilson – Vice President of Global Sports Marketing and Media at United States Polo Association Global Licensing, Inc.
  • Becca Tebon – Founder of the 17-Minute Reset Workout Method and Lifestyle Speaker

Audience members were thankful to gain advice relating to the importance of embracing opportunities and fostering leadership through kindness and transparency in the workplace, how passion can spur change and contagious energy, the importance of supporting others in the field, and more.

Beuker thanked Florida Panther Group Sales Coordinator Quinn Connor for sparking the idea for the event. While encouraging students to pursue their goals wholeheartedly, she reminded them of the many opportunities in sports beyond playing and coaching. She also sent her appreciation to leadership team members Dr. Gary Vonk, Dr. Jenny Peluso, and Enrique Suarez along with Sports Management program colleagues Justin Harmon, Anthony Hilliard, and Dr. Dusko Bogdanov, and Cinematic Arts program colleague Samantha Kountz.
